Open Calls

The LLM4CIP project invites major critical infrastructure operators and NIS2 essential service providers to unlock the potential of AI‑driven cybersecurity across Europe. A total of €2.52 million in financial support will be made available to third-party innovators across the Europea Union. Through this funding program, organisations will gain access to cutting-edge, fully European cybersecurity solutions designed to proactively simulate, detect, and mitigate risks in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
Who is it for?
The program is specifically designed for companies and organisation operating within critical sectors defined by the NIS2 Directive, including energy, transport, healthcare, banking, and digital infrastructure. To foster a truly inclusive ecosystem, at least 50% of the total funding is dedicated to SMEs and startups, ensuring that smaller players have the resources to adopt high-level security measures.
What will you achieve?
Successful applicants will receive a grant of up to €60,000 (covering 50% of their project costs) to pilot the LLM4CIP platform within their own operations. During the six-month implementation phase, participants will use our sophisticated tools to:
Create a Cyber Digital Twin
Build an accurate virtual replica of your infrastructure for safe, risk-free testing.
Run Automated Testing
Execute at least five automated and three customised AI-driven penetration testing scenarios to identify hidden weaknesses.
Simplify Compliance
Conduct AI-powered risk assessments and regulatory compliance checks to align your security posture with NIS2 requirements.
When to Apply?
The funding will be distributed across two distinct rounds, allowing for continuous refinement and engagement:
- Open Call 1: The application process begins in January 2027 of the project.
- Open Call 2: A second opportunity for funding opens in September 2027.
